In 2013, we announced the Templeton Science of Prospection Research Awards competition and requested applications for research investigating prospection.
This initiative is primarily focused on funding key areas of prospection research:
- Measuring prospection,
- Mechanisms of prospection
- Application of prospection
- Improving prospection.
- Open: There are many unknowns about prospection and, therefore, some proposals may not fit neatly into the first four categories.
Twenty-four finalists presented their proposals at a Symposium held at the University of Pennsylvania in August 2014. Eighteen winning projects have been chosen, with grants beginning between October and November 2014, and concluding in August 2016.
